Welcome Home

The Nebraska Department of Veterans’ Affairs would like to welcome you home to the State of Nebraska. Thank you for your service and the sacrifices you have made to protect our country’s freedoms. Our nation and state owe you a debt of gratitude for your commitment to our country’s defense, and our agency is committed to connecting you with any and all county, state, or federal benefits you are eligible for.

On this page, you will find just a few of the benefits the State of Nebraska offers. In addition, our Nebraska Veterans’ Gateway offers resources and information on transitioning to civilian life and securing meaningful employment. We also encourage you to contact your County Veterans Service Officer or a State Service Officer to see what other benefits they can help connect you with.
