He was killed 4/4/2003 when his AH-1W Super Cobra helicopter crashed during combat operations near Ali Aziziyal Iraq.

He was killed 8/30/2010 when insurgents attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device in Malajat Afghanistan.

He was killed 4/16/2011 of wounds suffered when an Afghan National Army soldier attacked a group of soldiers with multiple grenades at Forward Operating Base Gamberi in Nangarhar Province Afghanistan.
