Military Appreciation Month Event on Military Life and Service
The community is invited to attend a Military Appreciation Month presentation focused on military life, service, and sacrifice. The event will feature Jeff Conrad, a retired Senior Chief Petty Officer who served 24 years in the United States Navy. Conrad’s presentation will address the responsibilities of military service and the long‑term impact service has on individuals, families, and communities.
The event is brought to the community by Bellevue University’s Military Veteran Services Center, which supports military‑connected students and engages with veterans and organizations throughout the region. The presentation is free and open to the general public.
Speaker Spotlight: Jeff Conrad
During his Navy career, Conrad focused on leadership, mission readiness, and guiding those under his command. He summarizes his service experience through his personal definition of “USN” as Unity, Service, and Navigation. Since retiring from active duty, Conrad has remained involved in honoring fallen service members, supporting veterans and their families, and leading community remembrance ceremonies across the region. He currently serves as Commander of American Legion Post 211.
