Landscapes of Service
2026 Nebraska Women Veterans Symposium Art Display
The 2026 Nebraska Women Veterans Symposium will feature an art display with art created by symposium attendees. The main goal for this exhibit is to connect with other artists within our community while also sharing our stories and ideas.
The theme, Landscapes of Service, can be interpreted as: exploring the personal or abstract connection to the concept of service between ourselves, others, and country.
Submission Rules and Guidelines
- One submission is allowed per person.
- Anyone submitting artwork must be registered and able to attend the 2026 symposium to participate.
- Submission deadline is September 1st, 2026.
- Submissions for the following mediums are accepted: painting, drawing, 2D mixed media, textile/fiber arts.
- Due to safety and space constraints, sculpture and pottery will not be accepted for display.
- Maximum dimensions for artwork are 16 in x 20 in. Exceptions will be considered for textile and fiber arts.
- There will be a total of 20 artist spots available. All experience and skill levels are welcome to apply.
- All submissions must include one photo and the dimensions of your piece.
- Artists must be able to transport, set up, and remove their own displays.
- Artists must be able to provide their own easels. Special accommodations will be considered if needed. If necessary, you will need to submit a request with your submission.
