Public Veteran Events

The VA is hosting this year's "Stand Down Event" at the Milo Bail Student Center on Friday, Nov. 16 from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. The VA will be providing medical check ups, clothing supply, and other services to our communities' homeless veterans.

We are seeking roughly 60 volunteers for this event. Volunteers can be staff, students, faculty, or community members. Most volunteers will accompany these Veterans and assist them with navigating the event and holding donated items (coats, clothing, etc..).

Registration: 9:00 a.m. at Memorial Stadium

Walk: 9:30 a.m. from Memorial Stadium to Veterans Memorial Garden.

The parade is scheduled for an 11 am opening ceremony at the North Capital Building Steps. The parade line will then start from S 21st and K St moving westbound to S 14th St.
