Vietnam War Commemoration Ceremony

The Lincoln Regional Office will be hosting a ceremony to commemorate the anniversary of the Vietnam War. The ceremony will be held at the Phelps County Ag Center in Holdrege, Nebraska. Come join us as we honor the brave men and women who served in Vietnam. During the ceremony Vietnam Veterans will be honored with a special lapel pin commemorating their service.

Biennial Women Marines Association (WMA) Convention & Professional Development

Event is scheduled Friday 09/04/2020 to Monday 09/07/2020. Join the National Women Marines Association in camrodarie and personal growth. Listen to speakers regarding leadership, chapter development and military women's interests. Join us at the Nebraska State Capitol for the Governor's Proclamation Signing Ceremony. He will be signing a proclamation declaring August 7th Purple Heart Day in Nebraska.

That day the Nebraska State Capitol will be lit purple in honor of Nebraska's Purple Heart recipients. 

“Sorghum Cares” Initiative Press Conference

On Monday, Governor Pete Ricketts will announce a partnership between the Nebraska Sorghum Producers Association (NeSPA) and the Nebraska Department of Veterans’ Affairs (NDVA).  The “Sorghum Cares: Preserving Our Heritage. Building Our Future” Initiative is a volunteer initiative to interview veterans and record their experiences to be archived at the Library of Congress as part of the Veterans History Project.
