When: Wednesday, June 12, 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Typically a Veteran who submits a disability claim during a Claims Clinic will spend about 4 hours from in processing through the medical exam process with a Rating Decision being completed in approximately two weeks. Whereas a Veteran who submits a disability claim through the traditional process waits an average of 100 days for a Rating Decision. In addition to the Lincoln Regional Office, Nebraska Department of Veterans' Affairs Veteran Service Officers (VSOs) will be available to assist with answering questions and filing claims.

Vietnam War Veterans Day event flyer

Please join us for a special proclamation signing and lapel pin presentation ceremony to thank and honor Vietnam veterans and their families for their service and sacrifice. Please contact 402-471-2458 or ndva@nebraska.gov to let us know you'll be attending.

As a lasting memento of the nation's gratitude, the Vietnam War Commemoration designed a Vietnam Veteran Lapel Pin for Commemorative Partners to publicly present to each veteran who served during the Vietnam War period. Governor Ricketts, along with the Nebraska Department of Veterans' Affairs and Nebraska National Guard will present pins to eligible veterans at the ceremony.

Living United States veterans who served on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces at any time during the period of November 1, 1955 to May 15, 1975, regardless of location, are eligible to receive one lapel pin.
