Family Self Sufficiency Program; Crown Program: a credit to own program where the participant rents a home during an established period while developing home ownership skills and building an escrow to use for purchasing a home at the end of the participation period;
SSVF provides case management, rent and utility deposits, rent and utility assistance, emergency supplies, transportation, small care repairs, gas vouchers, moving costs and emergency housing assistance to very low-income single veterans and veterans with families who are at risk of homelessness or are literally homeless.
Nebraska Homeless Assistance Program: provides homeless prevention emergency funding, emergency shelter/motel vouchers; deposit and rent assistance, emergency food.
Provides Financial Education Program: fundamentals of personal finances through monthly workshops, one-on-one financial counseling and Individual Development Accounts. Tenant Services Program: Rental Counseling; Homeless Prevention, Tenant Education, Smart Change and resources for tenant/landlord responsibilities and evictions. Family Support Program: Financial assistance, advocacy, housing and financial counseling.
Provides rapid rehousing services to residents of Douglas and Sarpy County: temporary housing relocation and stabilization services and financial assistance for one to twelve months to individuals and families who are literally homeless; Homeless Street Outreach and Heartland Housing Navigation; Ways to Work Program provides to residents of Douglas, Sarpy and Washington counties, short-term, low-interest loans to working families with challenged credit histories.
