On Friday, January 30, at 8:00 a.m. the Nebraska Veterans Council will be hosting Veterans Legislative Day in the Warner Chamber at the Nebraska State Capitol in Lincoln. Hear from veteran leaders and state senators on legislation introduced this session impacting our state's veterans and their families.

The Nebraska Department of Labor will be hosting a Career & Resource Fair on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the American Job Center, 1330 N Street, Lincoln. Meet top employers and veteran service providers. Veterans, transitioning service members, and families welcome.

On November 13 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. military veterans, Nebraska National Guard, Reservists, active military spouses, and their family members are invited to join the Patriots to Education Online Recruiting Event to learn about career options in Nebraska's school districts. On Friday, October 17, 2025 VA Nebraska-Western Iowa is hosting a Stand Down event for veterans that are homeless or at risk of losing housing from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the UNO Milo Bail Student Center, 6001 Dodge Street, Omaha.

Nearly 200 marchers and almost 100 volunteers will complete their 22+ hour, 120,000+ step journey from Walton, NE to LaVista, NE on Sunday, August 24th, and we want you there to welcome them with us.
