Department of Veterans' Affairs Blood Drive

Location: Department of Veterans' Affairs VA Regional Office, 3800 Village Drive, Lincoln

Nebraska Community Blood Bank is asking community members to give thanks this November by rolling up a sleeve and making a life-saving donation. Plus, all presenting donors during November will be automatically entered to win a free movie package from AMC or Marcus Theatres, including tickets and concessions. Donors can visit NCBB.ORG/TICKETS for more information.

Nearly 100% of the blood donated with Nebraska Community Blood Bank is transfused to patients in Nebraska hospitals. Blood donors of all types, especially type O, are urgently needed to step up and replenish the dangerously low blood supply. You may be eligible to donate blood if you are:

• In good health

• 17 years or older—16 with written parental consent (PDF)

• Free of antibiotics for 24 hours, unless taken for preventative reasons

• Symptom-free for at least 72 hours following a cold or flu

While walk-in donors are always welcome, we encourage donors to make appointments in advance. Visit NCBB.ORG or call 1-877-486-9414 to make an appointment today at your local donor center.
